State-of-the-art printhead
mechanism. The patented printhead locking mechanism and
easy-to-use media guides permit labels or tags to be firmly positioned, thus
maintaining accurate media tracking and producing high quality images.
An easily accessible print block makes it a snap to install media and
ribbons, and allows for easy cleaning
of the printhead. In addition, the
EZ Change™
Printhead allows the user to
move back and forth from a 203 dpi to a 300 dpi printhead with no tools or
special programming. An EZ Change™
Printhead means no tools are needed. Large Graphic LCD.
A backlit LCD display and three LEDs provide feedback on the printer's
operational status and offer quick access to its configuration menu.
In addition, some elements of the display can be edited to include
customized contact details, enabling end users to get help acquiring
supplies of service.
Stand Alone Capability. The
Falcon 4 plus is notable for its ability to run as a stand alone printer. By using a standard
PS/2 keyboard, the operator can print labels directly from the
Falcon 4 plus. This optional feature makes the Falcon 4 Plus indispensable in areas where
a PC connection is either impossible or is not feasible. The stand
alone function requires the use of C-Label IV, the fully functional label
creation software that is shipped with each printer.
Flexible Thermal Transfer Operation.
The Falcon 4 Plus uses ribbons that are designed for flat printheads, and
offers the user the flexibility of selecting either coated-side in or
coated-side out inking. The 450M ribbon capacity is perfect for
employing the printer in large volume industrial applications.
